Safe & Durable Electrical Pedestals

Advanced Pedestals, Ltd. (commonly known as API) manufactured its first, secondary electrical pedestals for Union Electric in January of 1976. A Union Electric lineman was tasked with designing and building an above-ground pedestal to facilitate electrical connections. So, API’s first-generation pedestal was “designed by a lineman for the lineman”. All API’s products take into account the safety of the lineman and are constructed using durable materials to ensure long-term reliability.

Today, API manufactures numerous pedestals and other utility products serving the “who’s who” of the electric utility industry.

For over 40 years, API has worked closely with industry experts (the linemen and engineers who work with API’s products), to design and develop innovative electric utility products, known for their durability and lineman-friendly designs.

Pedestals

Designed by a lineman, for the lineman, API secondary electrical pedestals offer a wide range of benefits, features, and options. These pedestals are constructed from high-quality materials, ensuring long-lasting durability. Some pedestals have been in service for over 30 years with no reported failures!

U-Guard Boots

Constructed using advanced rotationally molded techniques using high-quality UV-resistant polyethylene, API’s U-Guard Boots are free-form cable risers that provide a transition from buried conduit or cable. Boots provide protection from damage caused by wildlife and humans (weedeaters).

Transformer Pad

API’s Transformer Box Pad is designed for single-phase pad-mounted transformers from 25 kVA to 167Kva. Their lightweight and durable construction provides enhanced protection and security for transformer installations. Removable lids allow pads to be set so that construction can continue while awaiting transformers.

Fault Indicator Pole

API’s Fault Indicator plays a critical role in ensuring the reliable operation of underground power distribution networks and can be customized to include additional features for hard-to-reach areas.

Accessories

Utility Mark Post
